Mostly I'm going to Ireland to attend a wedding, but also to do a bit of tourism in Kerry.
First leg: MCO - IAD. Huge TSA presence at the boarding area; they did secondary screening on my computer. What gives? Surely they don't mind if we're leaving America? Biggish wait at IAD, by (my wife's) design
In any case, it was a comparatively uneventful flight IAD-DUB. After I woke up from my nap, I had to enlist the flight attendants' help in rescuing my 'phone from the innards of my reclinable business-class seat. But otherwise, no problem.
My brother Joe picked us up in Dublin Airport and dropped us at the Mescal Hotel on the Grand Canal in Dublin, where we miraculously were able to check in immediately. Then coffee, and a return to the hotel for a nap.
Evening meal with my sister and the out-of-towners. I found the groom charming; even though he's ethnically Korean, he has lived most of his life in Ireland, and had a faultless, slightly Dublin-tinged accent. The food was Thai. I had the hottest thing on the menu, which was hot but not excruciatingly so. And then bed.
